Lead Full Stack Java Developer

Sterling, VA

Requirements:

• 8+ years of large scale web application development experience using Java, JavaScript, React, and/or Angular js
• Previous Lead experience
• Experience with security vulnerability detection tools and processes including BlackDuck, SONAR, ZAP integration, or similar
• Demonstrated experience addressing security vulnerabilities
• Demonstrated results using various techniques to optimize web application performance
• Experience PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar no-SQL database solution
• Previous experience converting a monolithic application to a micro service architecture
• Deep analytical understanding of Elasticsearch, SONAR, or similar search indexing solution
• Demonstrated ability to onboard and mentor junior developers
• Designing, developing, and applying reusable UI components throughout our codebase
• Experience integrating with PDF generation tools like Adobe LiveCycle, Document Generator, or similar
• Knowledge of and practical experience with Okta
• Jenkins administration
• AWS application administration experience
• Practical Security by Design experience
• Experience with Vertex or similar tax generation service

Responsibilities:

This position requires a problem-solver with solid experience in web technologies, browsers, and user interface principles, including:

• Working as bridge between UX Design and Application implementation
• Working along with enterprise Front-End architect
• Working with Agile team members and stakeholders
• Ensuring code quality and application performance
• Leading team technically and being mentor for juniors
• Working as a team player focusing on reuse, performance, standards and delivery timeline
